From «me» to «others» and «we»

I was listening to a song that went something like this: He died for me to give me life.
He came for us to and it is personal and amazing. His love and sacrifice is personal. We live though in a world/ time where we tend to draw attention to ourselfes. But Jesus didn’t (Romans 15.4 For even Christ did not please himself )

We are not just someone that Jesus died for, but also citizens of His Kingdom. We ought to live Kingdomwise «now» not only in the future ( Matthew 6.10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it isin heaven)

Being a Christian is still very personal. We see His love, provision, miracles, signs, lessons in a personal way, God talks to us in a personal way. All our personal andvancement though will be no use if we don’t use it for the advancement of the Kingdom. And God has made it that way that we work better when we work in fellowship, all toghether, one body

No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
1 Corinthians 10.24

Now this could be something to pray for, which » team» (fellowship) we are going to be in/work/learn with and how using our gifts for the same purpose ( the advancement of the Kingdom)

So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding
Romans 14.19

that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
1 Corinthians 1:10

Holy Father, protect them by the power of[a]your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one
John 17.11

It is really inspiring how Jesus prayed for His disciples, an so shall we (John 17)

Once we understand how personal Jesus’s death is, we cant be thinking about ourslefs in our old egoistic way, but we shall surrender our slefs in serving God and others. Going from «me» to «we», from «me» to «others», following Jesus

The wilderness season

We can see in the Bible two main wilderness seasons. One is when the Isrealites where moving out of Egypt heading to the promise land and the other one is just before Jesus started His ministry.

The wilderness season is as season of preparation, and its not an easy season, but it is necessary!
Now for Jesus He had to go for 40 days on His own without food and water and the devils temptations.
The israelites were 40 years in the dessert being fed with mana. This was a journey that could have lasted 40 days but it took them 40 years

Why 40 years? Well…
. They needed to get rid off Egypt (change mentality from old to new)
. They often doupted God (for their daily needs mostly)
. And when they didnt see things happening in their own time they would try and find a way by themselves (creating other gods, comlaining)
In your wilderness season there has been a bit of this as well, right ?

How about our wilderness season?
. It will be hard
. Our faith might be tested
. It will be painful to be stripped at times of our Egypts (our old mentality)
But we know the promises of God
. He is with us
. He will provide for our daily needs (food, water, clothing, shelter. Jesus also said in His wilderness season while been tempted by the devil that we do not only need to be fed by food but also by the word of God)
. And we will come out of it stronger

In our wilderness season, we might doupt, we might ask for more than what we need (the Isrealites asked for meat while they had food), we will have attacks and temptations, hardships. But God is with us and there is a promise land for those who ednure and trust in God

Behold,I am about to do something new;even now it is coming.Do you not see it?Indeed,I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert
Isaiah 43:19

Don’t look back, look foward!

When it’s time to step out of your comofort zone, and step into faith

There are times we feel it in our conscious and heart that God is calling us out of our comfort zone, and it’s hard and painful but these are the growing pains that mature us and strengthen us in Jesus. Relying less on us more on Jesus. You are not alon… This a testimony of a friend who if living by faith as an evangelist
